What happened to 2021

I don’t know what happened to last year? It started out with such promise. I had a clear direction, a new path that I was all set to push into, and then, well, I was struck by a car on my bicycle and everything changed. Months and months of pain and rehab. A ton of self pity and frustration, and obviously, another year of COVID.

The result, well, a complete lack of any creativity, and what feels like a complete year lost. The sole bright spot for me was learning about Crypto and specifically Bitcoin. Totally nothing to do with creativity or photography, but still, a bright spot.

So, fast forward to 2022. Here we are and I am working on bumping up my creative juices by focusing on a number of personal projects. Spending the winter months in Florida is allowing me the opportunity to get outside and focus on two of my favorite things. Shooting brilliant winter colors in the sky and black and white beach and driftwood scenes. Both things that I enjoy very much and hope will help me get back into a good mental space.

What have I learned? Life is stupid short, and while my injuries, in the end were not life threatening, the could have been, and on a random day, in the span of a split second, my future path was altered forever. Live life. Love life. Be Creative.

Peace-
