Creativity as an outlet for connection and peace

The challenge for many of us right now is with coping. Coping with the day to day Pandemic; the day to day financial ruin; the day to day political strife; all in all just a whole bunch of dog poop that seems to be crushing us in 2020. Truly a year I will be excited to not look back upon.

So, how then do we take care of ourselves? How can we feed our creative spirit with goodness that can be used to shut down the darkness that surrounds us? I suppose their are many different answers to this question, but for me, what helps me the most, is to pick up the camera and just shoot. Take pictures of anything and everything and share them without a desire for likes or comments. Just creating and sharing, that is what I am trying today.

So, today, it was selfies with the Leica Q. Hey, could I put it in macro mode and face detection and shoot selfies as I sat on the park bench, bike at my feet, with the tide streaming out and the lobster boats coming in. So many beautiful things to take pictures of, but I guess today, I wanted to do something different. So, here it is, nothing more than an image of me, scruffy grey beard and weird ass haircut, taking a selfie and sharing it here.

Peace & Love,
